Leah , you may regret swearing at the nurse, but, her comment was out of line, you could take a few days break and then educate her, if she really is a medical nurse, she needs the education on the surgery you have to offer.. you may have to be contrite, since you got to hades comment was a bit harsh , but, it might be worth the crow you have to eat ( after all its only 2 TBSP! LOL ) to get her on the right page and in the right century with her info on wls

Hi all 4 days post op now.... LAP RNY went fine. I kinda feel like I've been run over, but I'm and walking, sitting (getting up and down alone), and going to the restroom all by myself (thank goodness since at a risk of being vulgar--started the peroid right after surgery). About the hospital stay, happy with the surgeon as far a surgery... but ZILCH bedside manner, treated me like a worm. So right now my Mother (RN) and I are on the protien battle... walking, using spirometer, drinking my water, some BOOST, Eggbeaters, and juice, taking my Flinstones and Tums but I can't get in 60 grams now way... and she's not a happy camper. Any advice?? Thanks much!---Leah on the other side...
