Ned Zallik

"Dr Zallik is the mold that all doctors should be compared to. He takes the time to listen to your concerns and cares for each patient as if they were his own family."

Paul J. Guske

"My first impression of Dr Guske was pretty mixed, he had an emergency at the hospital and therefore I waited about 2 and a half hours for him to show up to his appointment. I completely understood his delay; however, I was still a little nervous and scared. He profusely apologized for being late (made it all better in my book), just the fact that he apologized for something that wasnt in his control made me realize that he can put himself in my shoes. Then he took about an hour with me explaining everything, he did ask where my "support" person was and if I had one..I explained to him that they had to be at work and he advised me that I could come back again and bring my support person so that they could ask questions. He drew pictures/diagrams of what the surgery was going to do to my gastrointestinal tract and was very straight forward about complications, which I appreciated. I am having the laparoscopic "version" done and was glad to hear that not much more pain was going to along with it, then my previous laparoscopic surgery. YEAH! Dr Guske is associated with the "Weight for Life" program which I have found to be both good and bad. I have dealt with Amy and Tiernay, both of which were nice and friendly and approachable. I have also on one occasion talked to Bonnie about the MMPI testing and was advised (more like yelled at) to send my test to California second day mail. When I sent the test in with the money, Amy called to ask why since she told me to keep it and give it to Dr Davison. I then advised her of Bonnies outburst and request to send it next day air..Amy got Liz (possibly the supervisor out there) on the phone and she advised me that Bonnie was wrong. I informed her that unfortunately, I was very upset with the organization due to Bonnies unexcusable outburst and demand (after I told Bonnie that Amy specifically told me not to send it to California since 010103 they were no longer doing their own MMPI testing) Liz apologized for Bonnies outburst and advised me that they would cash my check and send me a refund - which they did in a timely manner. Otherwise, I believe the whole pre-care and aftercare program is well planned and simple to follow. I have recommended the Weight for Life program to several coworkers that were looking into surgery in this area. Obviously these are my experiences with the program and doctor, yours might be different. "
