"My first visit with Dr. Monson Pre-op gave me the impression he was an excellent doctor, however, not that friendly. However, I'd rather have an excellent doctor than one not so good but friendly. His nurse Cora is great. She answered all my questions and even scheduled my operation on my word that I had received insurance approval. She was always available for questions and made me feel very comfortable. His P.A. Rachael is incredible. She made me feel so well informed and comfortable. She explained all the risks and benfits and was there for any questions I might have. I met with her the day before the operation. In the hospital after the RNY I spoke with Dr. Monson again and I have a totally different impression. He was friendly and very likable. He made me feel comfortable. He was even making me laugh. I would recomend him to anyone. His bedside manner was EXCELLENT. The operation went great and he made sure I was taken care of. He spoke to my partner after the operation to ler her know I was doing ok. He treated her just like he would anyone else's spouse, so did his nurse and Rachael. "
