"I met Dr. Hornbostel at a seminar he held on May 6, 2003. The seminar was great and he gave you all the information you needed. He seemed very nice and my husband was more at ease about the possible surgery after the seminar. I have chose Dr. Hornbostel and he is in my network, next is to find out if he and the insurance company agree.
Even though he has only performed a little over 70 surgeries I felt he has had a great success rate.
During the seminar he covered each step of the procedure, each different surgery that can be performed and the aftercare for each surgery.
He did go over the risks of surgery and well, there are risks with every surgery.
He covered everything and really left no room for questions. He seems to be a great surgeon and I look forward to my first consultation and yes, my surgery, hopefully soon.
I really didn't get to talk with Dr. H much, but the little that I did talk with him he seemed to be a people person and know what the patients were going through.
I think that a doctor should have great bedside manner as well as great surgical competence, one without the other, just wouldn't make patients feel comfortable enough to allow him to perform surgery. I don't think Dr. H has a problem with either one and I look forward to becoming a patient of his."
"The hospital was great. I could never say enough about the treatment I received and the care I received. For this hospital being a small town hospital, my treatment was great. I loved it. I was a little afraid at first because the hospital seemed so small, but after my initial pre-op visit and then the surgery stay, it was great and I would gladly refer my closest family and friends to this hospital. The nurses were great. I had read a few posts about this hospital and was a little afraid, but evidently they didn't know what they were talking about, because the nurses were so sweet."
