Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)… RNY 10/31/03 – down 87 pounds!!! Good luck!

Hi everyone -- I had a bit of problem this past week. Apparently I developed an upper GI bleed which left me very weak and put me in the hospital for 3 days. Fortunately I didn't have to have a blood transfusion, just need to regain some of the blood lost. It sucks because I was feeling so darn great! But my energy is slowly coming back. Very slowly lol...but it shall return! Thanks for everyone in their support.

I'm so happy for you, Melissa. Your "new life" began on my "baby's" 15th birthday, and exactly a week before my brother's rny, so we're practically family! I'm jumping through all th hoops, and hope to have a surgery date soon. I hope you are feeling well and excited to be on the losing side. God bless.

I'm on the other side! I feel amazing! I have very little pain -- liquids are staying down very well, today I've gotten down some protein supplement but I'm on liquid diet now through March 25. This is amazing!

May God Bless and keep you close at his side as you go through this journey. You must be very excited and nervous all at the same time. This will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself and your family. I know it was for me. Remember you will have ups and downs. You can always turn to your AMOS family for support. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Good luck and God Bless!!!
