Kindred Spirit, Welcome to the losing side! Dr. Storey performed the roux-en-Y on me 12/19/2002. At first I thought I must have been crazy to put myself though all of that because I felt so weak and eating was not fun at all! But after a few days I started to feel better. Now I'm so glad I had the surgery. I have lost 106 pounds so far. :) I still need to lose a lot of weight and it is becoming more challenging for me to lose because now I'm not losing weight as fast. I hope I get to meet you at the post-op support group meeting. It is held the second Monday of every month in the basement of the hospital (near the cafeteria). -Beth
