12/06/01. I met with Dr. Lytle today. It was better and worse than I expected. He and Trudy totally exceeding the expectation I had of them. The worst part was being weighed. I have not been weighed in nearly 3 years and let me tell you, it was shocking. But I did not feel judged or humiliated in the least. Dr. Lytle answered my questions thoroughly and without hesitation. He did not rush me, nor think that any question I had was irrelevant or frivolous. I am completely at ease with Dr. Lytle being my surgeon and am looking forward to starting this journey.
If I had to mention a negative, in my opinion, it would be that Dr. Lytle has only done about 10-12 of these surgeries at the hospital he is currently. However, this is not the first time in his career of doing WLS, so the number of these surgeries that he has performed is far greater.
I am sure after my surgery, I will have more comments, but as things stand now, I am of the opinion that I could not be in better hands."
