"Tues 09-05-00 Went to informational seminar led by Denise, Dr. Sweet's assistant. This is required before 1st appt will be set with Dr. Sweet's office. Was very informative & everyone there was very nice.
Wed 9-6-00 Went to monthly support group meeting held 1st Wed of each month at Reading Hospital. Met Dr. Sweet there & am very impressed by his friendly, caring demeanor. Met many of Dr. Sweet's patients - great group of people - had a good time.
Denise introduced me personally to Donna, who has a history of blood clot problem (as do I). Donna was very informative & reassuring to me.
10-5-00 Met with Dr Sweet. I am very impressed and reassured that I have chosen a well-informed, caring, and excellent surgeon! He went over all of my medical history with me and asked alot of questions. He explained the type of surgery that he will perform on me and all of the risks that I should consider. He asked me why I was exploring this surgery to asssure himself that I was a good candidate for success after surgery. He was very organized and very thorough.
I had to take a quiz after meeting with him, which was a review of all the things we discussed. If I didn't get 100% on the quiz, then I would have to review & take it again at a later date.
