"I have just received my referral from my PCP to visit with my surgeon. My first appointment with the surgeon is on September 6. I will update after I see him.
Sept.8, 2000 I saw my surgeon on sept. 6th. The ball is rolling now. He suggested that I have VGB,although that is not what I wanted at first, his arguments were strong, and I feel comfortable with that decision now. My surgery is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 29, if all goes well with the incurance. dr. Schumacher is very thorough, and goes into detail describing the procedure and all of the risks associated with it.
I have met with Dr. Quinlin who will be performing the conversion of my VBG to a gastri bypass. He is a very kind man and caring man. He asked me if I was aware of the risks and if I knew about the surgery. Of course having gone through it once already, I know pretty much what I am getting into. "
