"I had my consultation with Dr. Ferrari on March 15, 2000. Like everyone else has said, he is very nice and very helpful. My mother asked him why he likes doing the surgery and he said because it is very gratifying to him. Gotta love that! He also told us that his own daughter will be having an RNY this year. Two questions that we asked that may be helpful to you are: What is his mortality rate? He told us that out of the 800 patients he's operated on, he's only lost one. And the other question was what was his post-op complication rate? Less than seven percent! "
