Michelle, Hi! Hypnosis can be an inportant tool to use in gaining insight into your food addiction. Howver, it is only a tool. Therapy is the best way to overcome (or a least learn from) your need for comfort. I am also a comfort eater, as well as a therapist. I use relaxation exercises, guided imagery( self hypnosis)and therapy to help me to stop denying my feelings and eating instead. I hope this helps. Marcy

Hi Michelle, I am 5'9'1/2 and my goal is to be down to 199. I started at 480 and I am down now to 389 so I have a ways to go. I would love to be at 175 ultimately. Being a big girl 199 would put me at around a size 12. My doctor think I will have around 30 pounds of skin, so if I get PS I may end up weighing below goal. Thank would be a sight. Good luck in your goals. If you need any support, just ask. Hugs Judith

Michelle Hello~~ Crystal Lite was my drink before surgery--than after surgery--ugh--could not tolerate it. Would try every month. Now almost 1 yr post-op I tried it again, about 3 weeks ago and now I can not stop drinking the Ice Tea!! It really taste so good and I use one of those little cups everyday too!

Michelle, not sure if this is it, but sometimes as early as a week before my period, I get bloated and the scale goes up 2-3 pounds. That could explain your weight "gain" and your snug pants -- you know? Could that possibly have anything to do with it? Not only that, but I eat like a wild woman when it's "that time," too. Just a thought ! I'm sorry you've been feeling so down and out of control. If it continues, I do think seeing someone would be your best bet; it certainly can't help. BUT I also was thinking, as I was reading your profile, that you sound like you have a GREAT head on your shoulders and have already given YOURSELF the pep talk you needed!! Try to give yourself some credit (and some slack). :) We're here if you need us, okay? *hugs*

Dear Michelle, I know this is none of my business, but, could you be retaining water because of that "woman" thing? That could explain the weight gain. Anyway, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Don't be so hard on yourself. God loves you and so do I. ROSI

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all

Michelle, please don't be so hard on yourself. The hard part is over you have admitted that you have a problem and you have admitted what that problem is. I will pray that you have the strength to take the steps necessary to help yourself overcome these feelings of wanting to eat all the time. Remember to take it one day at a time one step at a time. Don't look too far down the road. This will be discouraging. Set yourself several mini goals like today I will not eat so and so and don't eat it. The next day remove other items until you have gotten control of the situation. And finally if you need professional help by all means go and get it. You didn't work this hard and come this far to lose it. I will keep you in my prayers for continued success. Best wishes to you.

Michelle, I am 5 weeks post op and in my third week, I developed a "pocket" right around my g-tube area. I went to my doctor and he said my incisions had healed too quickly and didn't get to drain enough. Sooo, I did end up having to have a drain tube put back in. Yeah it's painful at first, but man, I felt such relief from the pressure built up from the fluid. I had to go home with it for 5 days. But now I everything is great.
