October 22nd. Dear Linda: I am so sorry to hear about the troubles you've experienced concerning health. How are you feeling, and what's been done to treat your liver? What's the reason for your surgeon not wanting to do the wls? Oh, I do hope you recover soon. Sincerely, Lori Ann

I was to have surgery in April but was cancelled due to platelette level and clotting time. They did a cat and found I had a enlarged spleen. They also did an ultrasound and endoscope. My surgery was set up for Aug 19th. Spleen removal only. Then 3-6 months later they were going to do by-pass. When they opened me up they were in for quite a surprise. My spleen was the size of a football and weighed l0 lbs. They also found that I have portal hypertension and NASH. Non-alcholicsepticheptitis. In other words cirrossis of the liver. They had to take twice as long for my surger. Then I had no veins and they could not get me off the ventilator. He told my family that I would not be able to have my surgery. I was quite disappointed. But I am still looking to see if someone will take me on as a patient. If anyones knows someone please let me know.
