"I was given an appointment with Dr Zorn because he is the one of two Dr.s at Pacific Bariatric that does the Lap RNY. I picked him and I think that the angels were watching over me because it turns out he is an expert in the procedure with a wonderful reputation. I've met so many people after my appt. was set up that had very encouraging things to say about him, even colleauges sing his praises. He is very professional and answered any questions I had, but that was it, he was friendly but you didn't get that warm fuzzy feeling when you talked to him. He's a brillant surgeon, but I did not even see him until the day after my surgery so I didn't know his personalilty that well. Since I traveled so far to get the surgery they have after care appts. in my area, they actually fly in to see their patients once a month.I feel surgical competence is more important, most geniuses aren't very outgoing.
