Hi Cindy, I am so sorry, I would be really frustrated. You don't have to start all over. At least you have your medical records from the dr you were seeing right? Either way I hope it works out ASAP for you. You have great determination to keep going, then you will get there!! :)

Hi, Cindy, I wanted to say don't despair, I'm sure everything will work out for you. I know it's frustrating. When I first called to get a consultation, the scheduler set me up with a particular surgeon. I got to looking in my provider book, and she wasn't listed, so then I called Encore to see for sure (maybe she was new with them) and she wasn't in network. So I called the scheduler back and informed her of what I found out, and she said "Oh, you're right..." then she set me up with another doctor, and I again checked to make sure she was in network. Fortunately, this one was. Sometimes we have to be our own detectives when it comes to insurance. Whenever I get a referral or want to see a doctor, that's the first thing I do, is check to see if he's in my network. Good luck, and God Bless!

WOW!!! THANK YOU ALL FOR THE KIND WORDS, BUT I HAVE BAD (SORT OF) NEWS.....I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL LAST WEEK TO DO MY PRE-OP AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY WERE OUT OF NETWORK FOR MY INSURANCE....I WAS CRUSHED....THEN I WENT TO THE DOCTORS OFFICE TO SEE IF HE WOULD GO ELSEWHERE AND THE LADY SAYS, OH WE AREN'T IN YOUR NETWORK EITHER....3 MONTHS AND NOT ONE PERSON TOLD ME THEY WERE OUT OF NETWORK, THEY TALKED TO MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND THE WHOLE 9 YARDS AND NOT ONE MENTION OF THIS THROUGH ALL MY OTHER VISITS OR ANYTHING....I AM FURIOUS AND TOTALLY CRUSHED, NOW I HAVE TO START OVER...I HAVE FOUND ANOTHER GROUP, BUT WILL NOT KNOW FOR ANOTHER WEEK OR TWO WHAT WILL TRANSPIRE....I AM SORRY YOU ALL HAVE POSTED NICE THINGS TO ME FOR NOTHING....HOPE TO BE THROUGH THIS AGAIN SOON....CINDY
