"I haven't met Dr. Bergstein yet. I may not. I was referred to him by a surgeon who believed Dr. Bergstein would perform laproscopic weight loss surgery. I found out today that Dr. Bergstein uses the Open RNY procedure rather than the laproscopic procedure. His office confirmed that he does not perform the lap surgery. I am trying to decide whether to cancel my appointment on 1/10/02 or not. My current surgeon feels the risk of open surgery may be too great for me. So, I am not sure what to do now."
