ME TOOO!!! It does get better...I'm 5 months out now and those feelings have really subsided for me. I can eat a little bit more now and I have a piece of bread with butter now and then(okay just a bite or two ) but it really helps with that whole head hunger thing. But I was sooo where you are now and I understand. Just remember, it will get better!!!Kate G. 21 years, 3 months ago
DITTO on your post to the message board! I feel the very same way. Sometimes I feel sad when I think that this is a permanent change in my body. I miss bread and butter horribly, too. I miss eating even close to a normal portion. It is not easy as we adjust. We had our surgeries right around the same time so I think we're going through some mourning here at this point. I just wanted to let you know someone else out there understands totally.Min W. 21 years, 3 months ago
Pam, sorry you have the wls blues :(. Did you get my email? It's normal to miss food, I know I went through it but don't worry things will change and you will get most of those foods back just in smaller portions. Don't push it, just try and stay positive, you have had it rough lately and maybe you just need some tlc. Maybe this will help maybe it won't but if you like tomato soup you can take alot of bites and it moves through quickly so you get that full/satisfied "I ate alot" kinda emotional feeling. Let me know if I can help.MommaAngel 21 years, 3 months ago

Hello again...This is Pam's friend Angie. Great news! I was able to bring her home from the hospital today. She is doing SUPER! Walking around a lot and drinking small sips of water every few minutes and her nausea and vomiting has improved. Thanks to all for supporting her during her surgery/recovery time! Hello everyone...this is Pam's friend Angie. All went well with her surgery today. She was in the OR for about 2 hours and the surgeon said everything went smoothly. Other than a nasty bout of nausea and vomiting she is doing great. She expects to come home on Sunday. I will update again on Saturday. AngieTina R. 21 years, 5 months ago
