Kansas University Medical Center

"I could not have asked for a better staff of nurses and aides! They were always willing to do whatever you wanted them to do to make you comfortable. As in any hospital, getting any sleep was a challenge, but they did try their best not to disturb you when you were trying to sleep. I cannot give the men and women of the 5th floor enough praise! Also had great respiratory therapists. All the staff at KU just made this the best experience possible for me. "

Kahdi Udobi

"I initially met with Dr. Udobi on February 6th for a consult. He was very thorough in questioning me about my health issues as well as what to expect from the surgery and I instantly trusted him to do my RNY. My second visit with him was on June 22nd, for a pre-op meeting. Again, he was great. Went back over my health history with me and again went over all risks and what I could expect the day of the surgery. He is a very nice man and seems extremely competent in doing WLS. Dr. Udobi will follow my progress after surgery with follow up visits. Be sure to take magazines or something to do on any days that you have an appointment with him. I had to wait about 4 hours the day I went for pre-op. Just be prepared that you will probably be there longer than you expected. Even though he is backed up, he will never rush his visit with you. While I was waiting, the time went fast because there were plenty of post-op patients there that were glad to share their experiences. I give Dr. Udobi a 10! "
