Great news! I talked to Tommy today at 3:15. He sounded great. Said he was hurting a little but the morphine was helping! I didn't expect for him to answer the phone when I called. So glad he is doing so well so soon!

What a small world! I am so happy to be your email buddy! If this keeps up we might find out that we're related. Ha Ha! Our big day is almost here! I would be honored to be your angel Tuesday, however since my big day is Wed., I wouldn't be a great angel! We are thinking of you both!

Today is Wednesday, April 12, 2000. I went to my pre-op admission appointment and everything went great! My surgery is scheduled for 4/18/00. I am confident that everything will go smoothly. I never told you all before, but my starting weight is 487 lbs. All my vital signs were ideal for surgery. My wife Kim and I will arrive at University of Vanderbilt Medical Center on the morning of the 18th at 5:30 am. My surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am. I learned something very interesting today from one of the staff at the pre-op clinic. Before you get the actual anesthesia, they have something to give you called "Twighlight Sedation" This eased my mind about the whole surgery process. This sedative is supposed to put you in "la la land" before you are actually put to sleep. Keep me in your prayers and I will update this as soon as my surgery is over and I am back at home. Thanks to many of you for your kind support!!!!!!!

Hi Tommy, I just wanted to wish you good luck on your upcoming surgery. May I urge you to go in and update your profile, and if you need and angel ask for one. This is a big step, and support is good. I shall keep you in my prayers and wish you a speedy recovery.
