Gerardo Gomez
"Dr. Gomez is a wonderful surgeon! He took the time to listen to my concerns, and he answered every question that I had. He is very compassionate, and very comforting. The office staff is wonderful as well. They are all very positive, happy people who were very pleasant to be around! They all seemed to understand my concerns, and they did whatever they could to answer my questions. I think it is very important to have surgical competence, but bedside manner is also important. On my surgery day, I was waiting to go into the operating room, and my fiancee was with me. Dr. Gomez had already been in to talk to me, and Dr. Simons (the other surgeon who worked on me... he's wonderful!) came in to answer any last minute questions. I started to cry because I was so nervous. I asked him to not let me die on the table. I said, "Please don't let anything happen to me." He took my hand, and said, "You have my word, I will not let anything happen to you." He really calmed me, and though I was still scared, I felt a little better. "
