"My first impression of Dr. King is that he knows his stuff. He explained the procedure in great detail and answered any questions that I had. I work in the medical field so I had a conversation with a physician I work with who played devil's advocate and thought of some questions I hadn't thought of. I wrote them down and called his office and Dr. King called me back that same day and answered my questions. He did not seem to have a problem at all with my calling him and I never once got the impression he was in a hurry to get our conversation over with.
My second appointment with Dr. King was basically to set up my surgery date. We spoke briefly and my date was set for 1/13/03.
I work at the hospital where Dr. King performs the surgery. Each physician that I have spoken to in our medical facility has spoken very higly of Dr. King as have the few people I have spoken with who have already had the surgery by Dr. King. I trust his ability and know that he will do what is best for me and the surgery I am about to undergo.
Dr. King's office staff has been nothing but helpful and each time I have had to call or in person, they have been warm and friendly. I have no hesitations about working with Dr. King and his office in the future and actually look forward to getting to know him and them better post op.
February 26, 2003 I still think Dr. King is wonderful. He has helped to start support group meetings at the hospital where I had the surgery and gave a very informative talk about WLS at the first meeting. He seems to genuinely care about his patients. I recently attended the 2nd meeting and he once again attended and answered some questions that people attending had. I like that he takes time with us in what I'm sure has become a busy life for him. "
