Need Revision Desperately!!

Apr 18, 2010

I had my surgery in June 1999.  I weighed 315 lbs. and had tried every diet in the world, including bulimia, anerexia, and diet pills, which my mother started giving me when I was 11.  Of course she was on four different ones, soooo...she was super Mom.

Anyway, I was supposed to get a band then, I had the roueny procedure, the band was still new.   I went in for surgery, very excited, even though nearly everyone I knew was against my decision.

I woke up from surgery, shaking, freeznig and blue.   I was taken down for a upper gi, i was throwing up blood.  I was told my stomach was tooo small.  The band was not pur on because it was too new and I wasnt holding up well.

Long story, horrible recovery, and then the weight came off.  A lot of vomiting, vitamin deficiency, etc.  I was not properly  educated, nor was there research predicting the future outcomes then.

When I met my husband in 11-2000, I was 145 lbs, eyes sunken in, but feeling great looking, however still could not eat but 3 or 4 things.

Ok, so now...still vomit on occasion, diabetic, i weigh 230 lbs, have lost most my teeth, hair, skin, everything extrememly dry.  I am extremely anemic, now my blood pressure is getting horrible, I snore, I am extremely depressed!!!!!1

I did check into the revision, a couple of times.   I was told NO!   I actually worked at St. Alexius and spoke to New Start potentials, I also have numerous ulcers, and constant heartburn and always, always tired.

I saw a surgeon last year and he told me he did not do revisions.

All I hear now is I need to lose weight, my health is going...

I was told once my insurance would not cover a revision, but you would think with all the prboblem s they would..

I DK where to start. I take care of my four children, my husband works 2 jobs, and I take care of my mother and father.
