Well, I am a few days past my one month out date.  I am now done 27 pounds from where I was the day before surgery.

Like everyone else, I think I've hit a stall, but will keep doing the same and hope the pounds continue to come off for a while longer.

Had a suit on last Sunday and it fit GREAT.  It actually fit me.  I did not feel like I had been "injected" into it.

How much is that feeling worth?  Priceless.

How great this has been so far!  No nausea, absolutely no real problems. 
I am down 16.2 pounds.  Walking 45-50 minutes almost every evening.
 

Went back to work today for 1/2 day.  Saw patients in the afternoon.  Have dropped about 10 pounds since my pre-op appointment, but know this will change.

 

Well, I actually feel like I am going to live now.  Day after surgery was hard, but each day has been better.  I guess doing this at 59 is a lot different than at 39.

Could not have made it without my wife, my nurse, and my coach--all the same.

Have not weighed yet and will only weigh once a week as I have seen recommended.

Make room for me on the Loser's Bench!

Well, this is it.  Hope to see everyone on the other side - of the bench, that is.

Well, we are in Atlanta, Marietta, to be exact.  I've had the magical elixir and everything has gone well (?), if you can call it that.
Have to be at the hospital at 8:30 in the morning for preop bloodwork and surgery at 11:15.  
Excited but nervous.
Am looking forward to joining everyone on the loser's bench.

Well,  Thursday is my big day.  Surgery has been moved to 11:00. 
Yes, I am very apprehensive.  Without the support of a wonderful wife, I would not be doing as well.

Hope to see everone on the loser's bench soon.

I am scheduled for surgery at 11:00, on October 9, 2008 at Kennesaw Hospital in Marietta, Ga.  I will try to post more from here on.
