7 Months Out-

Apr 02, 2008

How time flies with this surgery..I am now 7 months out and as of today 122lbs down..I still would like to lose atleast another 50 lbs and ideally 75 but I will take whatever loss I get..It s funny how this surgery really does change you sometimes I forget just how big I was.  I will see an old pic and just cant beleive that it was me in the pic- how did I let myself get that big? But there is no need to dwell on the past as so far everything has been going well although I must admit that I can be more disciplined and really should be.

Anyhows, I have noticed so many changes after losing this weight:  I am wearing higher heels, my feet do not hurt anymore and are not swollen, my knee pain isnt nearly as bad as it used to be..and I really do have more energy and a pep in my step..I have gone from a size 28 to an 18- now to get to a 12/14 would be fantastic- I do not want to be a skinny-minnie just slimmer than what I am now..But not one day passes that I am not grateful for having this surgery- it truly has been a blessing .  Below are some measurements that Ive taken and I will try to update on a monthly basis:

Work In Progress

Nov 04, 2007

So its been now roughly 2 months since my surgery and I am feeling better physically than I was before but still find myself to be challenged at times..Im having a hard time with nausea , some days are good others arent...I am now down 63 lbs and have at least 100 more to go..Wow that seems so far away but I know it will come...I cant wait to be at goal weight or at least close to it..I cant wait to get on a plane without an extender, to ride on a roller coaster and to not shy away from taking pictures because of my weight..I cant wait to go swimming again (not that Im such a great swimmer anyway..lol) and I just cant wait more than anything else to be more comfortable in my own skin...Until the next time guys...
