i have been unfilled for 3 mos and have enjoyed eating all the good things i couldnt eat for the past 2 yrs. sadly i gained 16 lbs but i am back on track and starting all over.

i have 5ccs in my 10cc band. wasnt enjoying it the 1st 2 days but this last fill has settled in and food is staying down so i'm back to loving my BAND : )

NEVER THOUGHT IT WOULD HAPPEN BUT I'M DOWN TO 280 AND FEELING GREAT. ITS BEEN COLD SO I HAVE BEEN REALLY LAX IN THE EXERCISE THANG! NO WALKING FOR ME WHEN IT'S COLD OUTSIDE, I JOINED CURVES ABOUT 2 WKS AGO BECAUSE A DANCE CLASS I WANTED TO JOIN WAS CANCELLED AND I BETTER DO SOMETHING CUZ THIS FLAB IS GROSSING ME OUT. I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today i started walking with determination, a positive mind set and support from amazing family friends.
I walked a 1/2 a mile but tomorrow will do 1 whole mile.

I am so excited today. All my reports are great! My dr's all gave me the ok for my surgery and have been super supportive. I also lost 7 lbs since 8/6. Thats 5 more lbs than the whole last year : (
I'm hoping by tuesday the hospital has all my reports in and can schedule me by the end of the month or at least 1st week of October : )

Today i met with my psych and nutritionilist : ) both gave me a thumbs up!!!! i have apre op class next thrusday and then we'll see what happens from there. Everyday i get closer to my goal. i did lose 2 lbs today

Yes, yes YES! I went to Cedars Sinai and was told they know of no reason why i can't have the lapband. I am so excited.
Monday, i had my upper GI... got the ok from my Gastro doc. New doc is ordering ok from Cardio cuz i was on phen-phen & another colonoscopy for my coilitus problems. I don't foresee any problems there...I hope anyway.
On 8/26 i get my psych eval and meet with the nutritionist. God willing this will go quickly and no more glishes. Thank you to everyone who responded to my questions. You have all been a blessing. I can't believe the wonderful support system we have here and am sincerely grateful.

was told NO to Lapband and am looking for 2nd opinion

i was devasted when my dr told me that i had to do the rny. my dr's office which is a center of excellence told me that because my bmi is over 50 (it's 54), i'm a medicare-medical patient and that my insurance won't pay. i do have a 2nd opinion appt next wed thank God.
