HI! My name is Amanda and I'm 29 yrs old. I had the Lap-Band surgery June 2006 in Mexico. I did it with no Dr. advise, the only info I had was what I could find online @ the time. I was desperate and for sure not taking the proper actions that come along with such a life changing decision. WELL....it took me 3 long yrs to find a Dr. close enough to drive to in Ga that would even touch me or adjust my band. IT WAS HORRIBLE. I lost a little weight, all in all only about 40 lbs.....and considering I weighed 268, it wasn't what I had expected to say the least. So the dreadful down in the dumps set in and I got really depressed. I tried to stay positive and keep up with my diet, but I was constantly cheating it to curb the starvation feeling I was constantly feeling from hunger. So this year i FINALLY got my mind in the right place and the wonderful Dr. Michael Blaney is going to do a revision. I'm currently doing a 6 month mandatory program required by insurance and @ the end of July 2013 I will finally get the Gastric By-pass. Being that I am 126 lbs over weight with a herniated disc in my lower back and the horrible pain my hips are in on a daily basis...I'm hoping for the results I have longed for since I was 20 yrs old.
