Hey Everyone!! Tiffany here. I'm 30 years old, in Fremont, CA. I was a member of ObesityHelp before in the past. I've had the RouxNY Gastric Bypass Surgery in June 2003 @ 397 lbs. The highest weight I've been was 550 lbs (in 2000 or 2001). Couldn't enjoy life whatsoever - It was extremely difficult with me walking, moving around, going places, keeping up with my hygeine, etc).
I've been over weight all my life. I've tried almost every diet you can think of - failed! I've gone through tons of trauma & drama as I was growing up - having alcoholic parents, parents split up when I was younger, I hardly hear from my biological mother....long story) My social life is not so exciting at all, hardly have friends - maybe a few here & there. I have a habbit of doing emotional eating (till this very day). I've used food as my "drug of choice". Along with that, I battle with my depression.
To make a long story short, my biological mother lives in Canada. We still have very poor contact with each other. She's a heavy drinker. I live with my dad (who's a recovering alcoholic), my stepmom, & stepsister. Both my stepmom & dad have been trying to do everything they can to help me to lose weight to this very day. I'm still battling with my obesity to this very day.
In the beginning of my WLS Post-Op phase, I was doing real well with my food, losing weight like there was no tomorrow! Felt 100% better!! & much happier of course! Then as time went on, I started getting into my bad eating habbits again. I used to hate working out, now I enjoy it, and do my best to include it in my daily routine. I sooooo love to dance!! Working out - no prob!!! It's just my eating that's always my greatest challenge in life.
