Northwest Medical Center

"The entire experience there was generally superb. All baratric patients get private rooms on a particular floor. There are other patients there, too, but bariatrics don't get sent anywhere else. You get to have your support person stay overnight with you. There is a comfortable foldout chair - my husband had no complaints. Most of the nursing staff was very good and well-educated as to the bariatic experience. I preferred the nighttime nurses to the day nurses, and I did get one crotchety old nurse on my last day. Also, my IV came out of the vein and no one caught it until my arm was a gigantic baloon. They said it happens all the time, not a big deal. My opinion is that if it happens all the time, then they should be on guard for it. I got a pain pump which was great, and there was always someone coming in. Not much quiet rest, though."
