It has been one year today that I had the vertical sleeve done and if I had to do all over again, I would.  My highest weight before surgery was 325lbs.   now I am 176lbs and feel great.  I have done things that I haven't done in twenty years.  My husband and son love it to because I can do so much now.  I was in a size 30 plus pants and I am down to a 14 misses, I was in a 3x shirt and now I am down to a large.  I was taking 8 prescription pills a day and now I am down to two a day.  I can't believe how much better my back, ankle and knees feel.  I can eat pretty much anything in small qualties.  My surgeon Dr. Singh is the best surgeon anyone could have and he also has a good sense of humor.  I go for my one year check-up on Jan. 28, to see how my blood work is and I want to loose 1 more pd. to hit my goaled weight. 

I Cann't believe it, it's been six months already and I am down 100lbs.  My surgeon was really happy with my results.  I went from a tight 28 pants to a 14 ,16 and a 3x shirt to a size Large.  I am so excited, I am going    to disneyworld Sat. for two weeks and this will actually be my first REALLLL!!! VACATTION since my DH and me bought our timeshare in 1995. I was always in scooters at the parks and I would pretty much only go to stores that had scooters.  This will ACTUALLY will also be my first REALL vacation with my nine year old son, as I won't have to be worried about weather I will fit in the seats of the rides and will be able to walk everywhere with him.  BOY  in January when I had this surgery I remember thinking, what did I do to my self, but now I say I wish I would of done it sooner.  

My surgeon and his staff are such nice people they make you feel right at home and loves to joke with you but when it comes down to business with the surgery, they will also let you now it, thats what I like about them so much. 

And for you out there saying you are so tired all the time, ask your surgeon about your B12 once a month shot, When I told him that I get tired towards the middle of the month, he told me instead of taking all 10cc the 1st of the month, to take 5cc the 1st of the month and to take 5cc in the middle of the month.  I did 5cc today, I will update next month and let you all know if it help any. 

Sorry to make so long but my DH is out of town so I figure I would celebate with the rest of my family on OH.  I haven't posted since the day of surgery, but I do visit alot  and this site has help me tremdously!!!! (sorry if spelled wrong.)

The only thing I reget about my sleeve is I didn't do it sooner.

It is 4:37am and I don't have to be at the hospitial until 11:oo am, my surgery is schedule for 1:15 pm and I am scared to death.  I have had to anxiety attacks scince friday my menstruel started scince they took me off b/c and I am bleeding like crazy.  Is this all normal and did you all keep wondering if you were doing the right thing.  By the way I am having the sleeve
done in Baltimore, Md.  Thanks for any responses.
