Hi! My name is Andrea and I I am 38 years old and live in Warrington, PA. I had the life saving Duodenal Switch on March 10th 2012 and have lost a grand total of almost 200lbs. The day before surgery I weighed in at 393 and I am now down to 198.5lbs as of May 2013. What a miracle!!!! I was Type 1 Diabetic since the age of 13 (insulin dependent) and that has totally reversed itself. In January 2004 I went into respiratory failure and acute renal failure as a result of sepsis and a tracheotomy was performed. During that time period, it was discovered that I had severe sleep apnea which is NOW GONE as result of losing weight. I had the trach removed in March 2012 after 8 years.. woot woot!!! I TRULY ADORE MY DS!!!!
A little bit more about me.... I was born with an enormous need for affection, and a terrible need to give it.. Love me or Hate me... Both Motivate me... Having said that... I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't love me. I am truly a warm hearted, personable person, authentic genuine. I love my friends family whole-heartedly. When I love, I love deep. I am learning with every twist and turn that my life is an ongoing miracle of inspiration and that I am truly blessed.
I am 38, single, never married, no children although I am a ring leader to 3 nephews (ages 10, 8, and 6). I am very close to them and love them dearly. I was born and raised in Northeast Phila and currently live in Warrington. It is definitely true what they say that you can take the girl out of Philly but you can't take the Philly out of the girl.
