I have been overweight all of my life. It runs in the family. I vividly remember my first diet attempt at the age of 10. WW at home and I dropped 30 lbs. Not for long. My weight steadily increased trying diet after diet with only little success and to only regain the weight I lost and more.
I met my wonderful husband and we married when I was 21. I continued to gain and it got even worse when you get in that "comfy" zone. I felt very self concious of my body only for him to say " I love you for who you are regardless if you are overweight or not." How sweet he is, but I don't feel good about myself.
A few years later we had our first child and then a 2nd 21 months later. I look at pictures and am almost like an anorexic person if that makes any sense.........anorexic people don't know how thin they are and I didn't know how BIG I was! WOW what an eye opener. I am currently 313 lbs and that is a lot of weight on a 5'4" frame.
I would love to be able to do the things I am not able to do, run around after my kids, hike, walk without hurting, swimming, and just being able to have an active, healthy life. I want to live a long time and I don't see it happening without this sx.
I have gone through my appt's with the Physch Dr and Dr. Gomez. I did that Friday February 3, 2006. Monday I called and spoke with Doug and he was to fax it over to the HMO department. He said the person he deals with is usually pretty quick and I should know in a few days. WOW that was quick. I just hope and pray I do hear and its an APPROVAL!!!!!
