In 2002 I decided to make a change and sarted to DIET DIET DIET. Then I started to GAIN GAIN GAIN after cheating on a diet. Then when I decided to do the bypass surgery a friend of mine daughter died on the surgery table.
At this time I will like to take a moment out for "Tina Jordan." She was a young girl and the doctor neligence caused her life.
Now here I am trying to make a decision to have the surgery. Not to mention my best friend could never know this was my decision my mother was not in favor of the surgery after that situation.
Now here I am making plans to have the surgery as a SECRET from family and friends that were not in favor of the surgery.
In 2003 January I decided I am going so I went to visit Dr. English. He was so nice til I just knew everything would be ok. My friend SYBIL and I went to see the doctor and we both schedule a date for surgery. We originally planned to have it done at the same time but that did not go so great. Therefore, she had hers a month or two before me. But that helped me to know what to expect.
The recovery was smooth sailing. I was up and moving around and actually back at work in two weeks. Now I should have stayed out longer but I was so excited to go on with life. Not to mention I needed finances still flowing in. the only thing about the recovery was my TOLERANC LEVEL was 0.
After being back at work for about 9 month or less I walked off my job one day I just was so frustratd. My boss was like what is going on. And believe it or not I am still the same way. My tolerance is still zero.
I had a hernia removal in 2005 with the un tieing of my intestines
I had a blood transfusion 2005 a couple of days after the hernia removal. Always have been anemic.
I had another transfusion 2006 April.
Now the hernia is common but the transfusion is something I was probably going to have in my life. I have been anemic since 18 years ago.
I am now a size 10 but probably a size 5 with the extra skin cut off.

In the process of looking into plastic surgery which will cost me (per estimates) $8,000 for the breast (lift and implants) and arms.
I am a single mother withone income in my house I do not think this is going to be reality for a while.
FOUR YEARS POST OP......
Today is my 4 years and it has been a tremendous weight loss world. I am now about 165 or less. I wear a size 7 pants. It is actually smaller than that but the extra skin takes it to another level. I am still happy with the extra skin. I took pictures in a two piece bathing suit a few months ago and WOW.
When I see people that have known me for years can not recognize me at all. I walk up to people and say "hey" and they look at me like I am the crazy lady. Once I show them theold picture or say it's TONI they just freak out. It is a wonderful feeling. You know it's a change when your grandmother doesn't recognize you.
6 Years post Op-
I am still looking great. i have had breast enancement and removed extra skin from arms since my weight lost. I am holding the weight down to 170. That was my goal. I am planning removal of bottom half extra skin. I had a successful breast and arm surgery and Im happy with it. The arm scar is something to get use to but its better than the saggy skin.
I lost so much weight I was in a training bra from 44DDD and I could deal with that. I had to pay cash for the enhancement of my breast and skin removal. I made payments and it went great. South Florida Cosmetic Surgeons were great. My family has been great. My 17 yr old daughter took care of me after the surgery of my breast and arms. She had to wash me and everything because I couldnt move my upper body much. Family is important.
