Well, I guess I just wanted to start my entries for my journey towards WLS. Right now I am waiting on the last pieces of information I need to turn into Presbyterian Bariatric center so that I can set up an appointment with one of the surgeons. After that the next step will be that the surgeon will tell me which tests I will need to complete so that they can then submit a request to my insurance company (BCBS) for approval. I am excited about this opportunity and that's just how I see it...as an opportunity to get healthy. I have tried so many different ways and all have failed. I will be 32 years old in two months but my body feels like I am 80 and looks like I am older than I am. Right now I tip the scale at 353lbs and for someone who stands only 5'7" my body is screaming for relief. Add to that the fact that I have been carryinf atleast 70lbs+ excess of what my weight should be all of my life...and lately I have had chest strain and been so exhausted even after 8 hours sleep.....I am scared....I have to do this to save my life......well there's the beginning...I'll follow up shortly......
