I had surgery on April 3, 2013. My road to get surgery was a long one. I was finally approved for surgery after a 2.5 year wait in 2011. I had high blood pressure at the time but had no co-morbilities. In July 2011 I was on my way to visit my niece and my sister ended up taking me to the ER in a town halfway there because I was in a lot of pain. I ended up getting some tests and I ended up having Endrometrial Cancer. I decided that I wanted the choice to have kids at a later date so I underwent hormone therapy treatment and was finally declared cancer free in January 2013. I had to wait a couple of months to get a letter to clear me for surgery but once I was completely cleared for surgery I only had to wait 3 weeks until my surgery date. I lost 175 pound in 2013 and I am hoping to lose these last 60 pounds in 2014. I had my gall bladder removed on December 6, 2013 and I feel better then I have in a long time. Having surgery was the best decision I ever made.
