well my story hmmmm.... well it is lil crazy!!! lol my journey started about in 2002 when i started researching weightloss methods. At the age of 17 with full supprot of my extremely wonderful parents i decided to have the lapband system put in. As you can imagine at 17 i couldnt of been more excited but little did i know that october 7th 2003 would be the worst day of mine and parents life!!!! According to my surgeon the minute i was put under anesthesia i had an immediate allergic reaction. I woke up in the icu with a tube in my throat and some young guy who i had never seen before telling me i was lucky to be alive. But to me that wasnt the worst part!!!!! As i started to come around and realize that something was wrong i had realized that i had no symptoms like my doctor said i would have coming out of surgery. Suddenly it came right to me with a huge amount of tears and disappointment that my surgery never had happened! Nothing,....... nada....... zlich!!! I wasnt at any point even prepped or cleaned for surgery!!!! I left the hospital and immediately fell into a deep depression. I always told myself from that day on surgery would never be an option for me. But after finding myself one with god and finding his guidance four years later i was given the courage and faced my deepest fears and was successfully banded on march 13th 2008!! woot woot!! i am soooo happy to be alive and thrilled that god has given me the strength and courage to make myself happy and healthy!!!!! I wouldnt change my crazy journey for anything i have learned soooo much about myself!!!! I would love to meet people who are experiencing the same things as me and to build new friendships.
