5 days post op. awoken by sharp pain on chest

They werent kidding when they said the first week is "Hell Week".
I had my surgery RYN Gastric bypass on 2-10-12 . Each day has been getting better but last night, i took my pain med around 10, fell asleep, ( usually i awake around 1 or 2 am) but last night i slept passed that, but at 5am on the dot, I was awoken by a sharp pain inbetween my chest. eyes wide and holding my chest. 20 mins later, the pain subsided and i was fine. but now all day today i feel a tightness there. has this happened to anyone else? why did it happen, ahhh
