6 Months Out
Nov 29, 2007
Finally!!!!!!! I am not in a stall and have lost 43 pounds to date. The only thing I can say is that I wish I had done this years ago.
The only down side is dating. I find it hard because I don't want to tell people that I just meet about my surgery and they don't understand why I eat so little! I just say that I don't have a big appetite and that I usually eat several small meals a day rather than three large ones! I recently started dating someone exclusively and he knows so hopefully our relationship will work out and I will not have this problem anymore (lol)!

I am down 34 pounds!!!!!!!!! So that means I have lost almost half of my goal weight. I am soooooooooo excited but it is really slow. I hope that I can be at goal by Christmas. We'll have to see. I know when you get closer to goal it gets harder.
It is so awesome to have such great support on this board. It is such a help to know that other people have been successful in their journies!

About Two Months & Two Weeks Out
Aug 10, 2007
I have lost 30 pounds. I have about 45 pounds to go until I reach goal. I have been in somewhat of a funk because I will be 40 years old on Monday! I tried on a skirt the other day and could not believe that I was able to wear a size 10 in the regular misses department! I hope to be thin before I make 41 lol!
Two Months Post OP

I am two months post op today. I have lost a total of 27 pounds. I will need to loose about 44 more pounds to reach my goal of 125. When I get to 125, I may try to loose down to about 115, we will just have to see.

I only lost 1 pound this week. Saw Dr. Melancon (Internal Med) and he said that I should not get discouraged as i may only loose about 2 pounds a week since my weight is 177. Anyway my goal weight is 120-125 so I have got about 50 pounds left to loose!!!!

One Week Post Op

I went for my check up with Dr. Hargroder today. They told me I am down 16 pounds from my preop weight. I can hardly believe it!
Once when I was seeing a nutritionist I lost 8 pounds in a week, it was withoug a doubt harder than this!
I am looking forward to continuing my weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!!! If only I could fast forward the clocks just a couple of months.

PreSurgery Jitters
May 13, 2007
I am so excited about the 23rd! I do have jitters but mostly about being put to sleep. I have had two cesarean sections and can't imagine this being any harder than those. I have researched and researched VSG until I am almost tired! I am praying that my surgery is text book.
