1 Week POST OP

Today,
I wanted to let everyone know I returned home from the hospital on Tursday Oct. 23rd and my surgery was on Oct, 21st. The surgery went great and I did exactly as they asked. I have been on liquids since the Monday prior to surgery and will be on them until next week. I had my 1 week check up and had my cathater removed and had to wait on getting the drain removed due to a large amount of liquids still coming out.
I have officially lost 30lbs since my 2 week Pre Op Protein Diet. So thats 10lbs a week. I feel great. I have had no hunger pains but at times find my self thinking I want to eat regular food. However I have followed my docs instructions 100 percent. My excercise consits of lots of walking and thats it.

I went in to do my Pre- Op yesterday. It went really well. Recieved basically an outline of my schedule for the next 8 weeks or so. My surgery is 10/21/08. Im getting the Switch. So far everything has gone real smooth and I hope it stays that way.
I want to try to talk to as many people on the site as possible. I think that most of us on here haven't begun to really unfold lifes possibilities until we have expirienced that second chance or first for some to feel fit.

Well lets start with ..... I got approved for surgery 9/22/2008.
Only a week and a half after my initial visit with Dr. Schlesinger's office. I cannot believe how easy this was. I had attempted to get approved a total of three times. The first time was in 2003 a year after graduation. The second time was in 2005. Third times a charm and I am so thankful.
