Hi everyone,
sorry I havent been on in a while....been super busy with school..but I wanted to share with everyone that I have officially received a date for April 11th. I am super excited and nervous. If you have any advice that you can share with me that will help me be successful with the surgery I would greatly appreicate all suggestions, experiences or words of encouragement.

Yesterday I went to the WLS class which is like a seminar where you learn all about the surgery... we all got weighed in and our BMIs calculated. We heard from two of the surgeons a Psych and a nutrionist. It is mandatory that we go to a support group but that was canceled due to the weather. So I hope to have that taken care of in Febuary...i have to have all of the rest of my appointments completed before I can have my date of surgery so I am in that process now so I hope it will be smooth sailing from here cause I am so ready to take this journey to a healthier me

I am really ready to get things started with trying to get my weight loss surgery and I keep thinking that January cant get here quick enough...I am have been keeping myself busy with the holidays comeing up but I still cant get Janaury off  my mind and then I keep thinking when I finally get into the seminar class how much longer do I have to wait after that....ughhhhh january come on already

So I have just been referred for weight loss surgery for the second time...the first time I was denied by Tricare because I didnt weigh enough. I was under the weight by 6 pounds or so...This really depressed me because I wanted the surgery to help with some of my health issues I am going through. This time around I was referred to on base and I go to the class which is the first step in January. I have heard that Tricare has nothing to do with the approval when it is on base and it is up to the surgeon so I am keeping my fingers crossed for the surgeon to make the right decison and that is to help me...lol....so now I have to sit back and wait for the next step
