9/23/03 was contacted by Blue Cross/Medi-cal about being sent to a sugeon should be contacted within 10 day from someone else from blue cross
10/07/03 Was contact by a cordinator from blue cross im being sent to Stanford university sounds like an excellent place to have WLS
10/08/03 Was contacted from stanford sending me a packet to fill out have a tentative date with the internist in May :( that along way away but have alot of test to do
10/20/03 Had all blood work and EKG and chest X-rays today geting stuff done
10/27/03 Saw my psycoligist today he gave me the go ahead and sent the evaluation to blue cross and stnford
11/12/03 Saw the nutritionist from stanford today all went ok the usual dont eat that eat this kinda stuff waste of time i thought $125.. poorer also :(
11/13/03 Well called stanford and tell them i have all pre test done they wanted so i have an appt with the internist DR Baptista on 11/26/03
11/26/03 Saw the internist and have a list of new test that she want to have done and have to lose 10%weight 5% to have a date ssheduled but i think i can do it
12/1/03 I have medicare as of Dec 1st hpe everything still goes ok
12/01/03 was contacted by stanford Dr Morton want to see me now so cross your fingers for me
12/12/03 Saw Dr. Morton at stanford he in the cheif surgeon at stanford that made me feel better he said he would do it but because of my size he will have an assistant help him and continue to gettest done and lose weight and c him in 2 months:)
2/20/04 Saw DR Morton today was so happy i have lost 42 lbs and have had all test done that he wanted then he tells me he wants me to lose 190 lbs before hell do it i was crushed i was so mad i just wanted to leave didnt have any questions to ask until after i left and calmed down i think hes scared to do the surgery so im gunna start looking else weres(Bad Day Today :( )
3/9/04 I decided to change insurance so im going from Medicare/medical to Kaiser since i cant seem to get any cooperation with medicare it becomes effective 4-1-04
4-2-04 Seen my new PCP at Kaiser he said he would send in the refferal that dayand i should hear from them within two weeks
4-23-04 Went to the obestiy class at kaiser and filled out the papers to get approval and theyll send them so within 2 months i should know hopefully alot sooner!
6/15/04 Finally called and got ahold of the lady to c if she had recived my paper work and she told me yes she had and i was already APPROVED and a letter sent to you....Yay hope not to much longer
10-4-05 Ok fast forward over a yr of touble saw Dr. Rabkin in San Francisco yesterday and he will do the surgery the DS for me they sent the insurance stuff to my insurance and there scudeduling surgerys 4-6 weeks out so hopfully soon
10-28-05 Got approved by insurance today will have a date monday
10-31-05 Got a surgery date nov 29th 2005 finaaly after a long struggle
12-14-05 Got to come home today after 2 weeks in the hospital had kidney failure and artirial fibulation and muscle damage in my back but have had no pain with the surgery itself
8-1-06 It been a hell of a journey for a long time ive regreted it with allt he problems ive had but im now starting to see light at the end of the tunnel
8-20-06 I drove for the first time in 4 yrs today what and uplifer..
8-26-06 Im down 291 today
10-23-06 Down 333 as of today
