To any one who is interested. I have started this journey in my life with my sister and my husband at my side . I am a nurse at a local hospital. I have 3 children and will be celebrating my 25Th wedding anniversary in October.
My husband is , and always has been healthy and slim. On April 6,2006 , he suffered from a massive heart attack. He was given a second chance at life. Two stents later and 2 years now, he is doing great. I started to really look at my life.
I am in my early 40's and waiting patiently to have grand children.My husband and promised in 1984 , when we married that we wanted to grow old together. With me , being a smoker, and weighing 267 pounds. this would not happen if things didn't change, and stay changed.. Yes I could loose weight , but always seemed to gain it back. Or I would stop smoking and then pick it up again.. Now was the time.
In August of 2008, Tammy, my sister and I have made a serious change in our lives . We both have quit smoking , and decided to attend a meeting on bariatric surgery. We have both chose to go with the roux-n-y . We have been going through the process here in NY and have finally met all our requirements....
I plan on being around to see my grand children and to grow old and Grey with my Eddy.
