"I liked Dr Lourie at once. His office staff is professional, courteous, and concerned. From what I understand he's a stickler for following the proscribed aftercare diet and instructions. He discussed the risks frankly and honestly with me and believe me I had a zillion questions, I'm a R.N. myself. I did a lot of research before I even considered the procedure and Dr. Lourie came highly recommended by friends of mine in the medical community....so far I must say I concur. My surgery is scheduled for October 8th so I'll have more to add then. I think that probably surgical competence is more important tnan a terrific bedside manner but both as a patient and as a nurse I value a doctor that is blessed with both good skills and a caring attitude toward his patients....from what I've heard and experienced so far, Dr. Lourie has both."
