I'm a 33 year old mother to a beautiful son and a wife to a wonderful husband of three years and been together for 5 years...I have struggled with my weight most of my life and have always been the chubby girl with a pretty smile..well not no more,as of this friday April 2nd 2010 I am having gastric bypass and I just know that it's going to change my life forever.I can't wait to become a more healthier,happier mommy and wife...and so my journey begins......
One week and one day out...Lost 18lbs first Dr. visit...Well when they tell you that the beginning is rough they weren't kidding.I'm feeling better and so the thought of food is back and it is making me very weepy and depressed..Trying to keep busy.Liquid stage is really tough getting ready to go into stage 2 liquids...Staying positive and trying to take it one day at a time...
2 weeks out..I went to dietican,lost 24 lbs now...Still a bit sore and weak,looking forward to adding a few more things to my diet...can't believe i've lost 24 lbs in 2 weeks its crazy.....
Went to PCP today(5/7/2010)...5 weeks out today since surgery.I have lost 34 pounds..BMI down to 41.8 and I get to get off my blood pressure medicine..Woo-Hoo!Overall i have no complaints..Just love watching the new me evolve
6/6/10-Just a lil update...As of today I'm off all of my weight related medicines and soon I will be having a sleep study again to see if I can be cleared of my sleep apenea and not have to wear my cpap anymore..been waiting for that for along time..feeling great and can't believe how the scales just keep dropping..Still having a hard time not vomitting after I eat most meats but believe thats its because I'm still trying to eat to fast..A hard habit to break..Yeah my BMI is under 40 and I'm 2 pounds away from losing 50 pounds...Alot of great things are happening to me and so very excited to see my future...I'm praying for my dear friend Patsy.Tomorrow is her surgery,she is having RNY..so happy for her and will be waiting for her on the loser's bench..Love ya Pats!
7/26/10 - Just got back from vacation yesterday..We spent a week in the Outer Banks in North Carolina then 2 days in Ocean City Maryland..had a great time..Kaiden absolutely loved the beach..It was nice to see my husband relax for once..It was so hot down there..everyday was over 100 and the humidity was crazy..got some pics of me and will post soon..typically I don't like my picture taken and have missed out on alot of pictures with my son because of my weight..I would hide from the camera but as the new me develops I'm beginning to be okay with it..Crazy but true I lost 6 pounds on vacation..Eating out was tough for me so we ate at our beach house alot..49 more ponds to go til I reach my goal...so excited and can't wait..until next time....
