Coming up on 11 months since surgery
Aug 27, 2007
My husband had the surgery in Feb. and he is doing great. He hasn't started excercising yet and that worries me. He sometimes eats things he shouldn't but he has come a long way. He had high blood pressure, diabetess and many other health problems and those have gone away. He does have neck and back problems and it has helped him tremendously in those areas.
My older son, Garrett , is about to turn 12 and he started middle school. He is a great kid and I'm so proud of him. Now, he can be proud of his parents and hopefully, we are setting a much better example with our eating and exercise habits.
5 months since surgery - doing great
Mar 06, 2007
It's been a long time since I've updated here. I check in on the boards every so often and do my reading but haven't wrote about myself - not sure why.
I'm doing great and have no regrets. I have lost 80lbs to date. I do go to the gym and work out 3 or 4 times a week. I've noticed my weight loss has slowed down a lot recently and I'm working harder for it. I want to lose 100 lbs and keep it off!
My husband had the surgery on Feb. 2 and the next week he had a kidney stone! It was rough for him but now he is doing just fine. I'm so proud of him. He had diabetes and hasn't had to take any insulin. He also has high blood pressure and a lot of back problems. He is losing quickly and things will just get better and better.
