"I met Dr. Wagner to have my initial consultation a week prior to my surgery hoping it could be arranged over my school's spring break. He -- along with his amazing office assistant, -- "made it happen". My first impression was that he was a compassionate, knowledgeable, and experienced surgeon. I saw him again the morning of my surgery -- Monday, March 20, and during follow-up during my wonderful stay at St. Alexius Hospital. My impression has not changed, and only reinforced, now that I have experienced his surgeon's "touch" having the laproscopic RNY. He is top-notch in his field and I highly recommend him. (My husband seconds this recommendation, feeling that this surgeon was also concerned with answering his questions and addressing his concerns.) I know this review asks the writer to balance the positive comments with negatives, but I honestly don't have any negatives to state as part of my personal impressions about my personal experience with this doctor. "This small, VERY clean and patient-oriented hospital is a jewel. The staff (from registrars, housekeepers, phlebologists, rad. techs, radiologists, anestheiologist, surgeons, to the dedicated nurses,) was top-notch and I (and my visiting hubby & son,) were treated wonderfully. As pain-free and private as I could have wished. A stay on the 5th floor bariatric ward included a private rooms with sleeper sofa for my husband, and free meal vouchers for him, as well. Parking is free and close to the building. It is in a slightly run-down but-hoping-to-revitalize part of the city, but this should not make you at all concerned. This is a top-notch facility where patient care and supressing pain is the #1 priority. I HIGHLY recommend this hospital with its wonderfully attentive staff."
