Well, my dream has come true I finally had my gastric bypass although right now is more of a night mare than a dream lol. I am in pain and so much discomfort, I really wasn't spec ting this. Doctor force had schedule the surgery 4/14/09 at 6:00am but when I got there and they had re-chedule for 1:00pm same day, I was so exited about the surgery that not even that would over shadow my excitement. Doctor Force told me that he was going to try do repair my Peri esophageal hernia and the bypass all in one, the reason he still was doubting in the bypass is because I had so much scar tissue and he wouldn't know if once he got to the stomach the old scars do to the perforation I had on 07 would make it impossible for him to perform his job. when I woke up the first thing I asked was "Did you do the bypass?" he smiled and said yes I did! He had to do an open surgery to do a good job,The first day they kept asking me if I had passed gas and I didn't feel like I wanted to, then finally I did had a sensation and to my surprise I had just dirty my bed, I hope that's not too much INF for you lol. I had heard that you are constipated after surgery so I relied on that and didn't specked to have diarrhea, to this day I have diarrhea and have not been constipated at all. I have so much pain and discomfort that I can't even explain, I havent heard from another bypass patient that they felt the way I do, I think is because I had two surgeries in one, I had had surgeries before and people can never believe how fast I recover and how I usually look like I ha vent come out of the hop ital. But not this time, I spended more than a week in the hospital and when I came home I still didn't feel well. Anyway I sad cuz I still havent lost any weight jet.
