Well I grow up in South Florida, with a very large extended family. My grandmother was the best cook in the whole world. So naturally if we were sad we ate, if we were happy we ate, if we were bored we ate. I have been overweight since I was 8 years old, I have been teased and made fun of. However the one thing that my family instilled in me is that I am beautiful no matter what. I really can not understand how some of my beautiful phat/fat (pretty, hot, and tempting) sisters don't realize how gorgeous they are. So my mission for myself has always been to show the world have a plus-sized woman with high self-esteem carries herself. As Maya Angelou said
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies
I'm not cute or built to suit a model's fashion size
But when I start to tell them
They think I'm telling lies.
I say
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips
The stride of my steps
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally
