Today is my 6 month anniversary and boy do I feel great. I am half way to my big goal  200 ponds. I was 395 ant surgery and am now 295. Have not been under 300 since got married the first time back in 1994. My Diabetes is gone, High Blood Pressure is gone I take o more Prescriptions just my Vitamins and supplements. I have no problem with sugar which i not really a good thing, but I manage. By biggest issue is Greasy food which i suppose is not a bad thing. I don't mean to be graphic but my sex life is unbelievable I feel like I am eighteen again. Over all I am doing great and think this was the best thing I could have ever done. I am Healthy, Happy and Energetic. Energetic is a verb i never would have thought would describe me.

Had my 6 week check up with my doctor. got cleared to eat solid foods and go to the gym. Well I went home and dusted off the weights. I worked out for the first time in couple months. I woke up sore but I expected that. I am down 51 pounds. I went to Kmart and bought some 3x shorts. I got the 2x on but they were not roomy yet. My wife said I had the biggest smile on my face all the way home.

Here I am A few days short of a month and I feel great. I am down 48 pounds and seam to be losing 6 to 8 pounds a week. Still on soft foods for a couple weeks and I am dying to get back to lifting weights and that has to wait a couple more weeks to.

Just a small setback. In the shower this morning one of my Insicions looked alittle puffy and yellow so we went to Urgent care and it was just "CELLULITIS" the doc gave me some antibiotic ointment and sent me on my way. Better to be safe than sorry. Other than that I am doing great. Living on Glucerna and popsicles. Looking forward to another week and a halk when I can eat soft foods.

Well I came home from the Hospital Friday 3/25. I will tell  you more about my hospital expierience when i am feeling better. But I am home and doing good on liquids. Sunday I get to adventure out for a walk for excerside, but for now it's just walking adown our long hall back and forth a couple times everytime I get up. So far so good.

Tomorrow 3/23 at 7:30am I will finally be having my RNY surgery. I had wanted this Surgery back in 1999 but at the time my Ex-wife was asking me not to have it. Fast forward 8 years and I was Divorced and met my current wife. She was very supportive of my decision since she had the surgery in 2002 and had kept the weight off. So I started the process with Kaiser and did my 6 months of classes. I finished my classes in March 2009. i was about to get my surgery date and I was laid off my job and lost my insurance in the process. I was laid off again a few months later and then changed careers. i was chugging along when a guy who I had worked for a few years ago called to ask me to come to work for him. OK i was going to have insurance again, but of course because of paperwork problems it was delayed 2 more months so in November i got my Insurance. I asked my Doctor what I needed to do. it took a month but the lady who runs the bariatric program called me and said she was sending over my referral. They called from the the surgical center and got registered a week later they called to set the date. It could have been a couple weeks ago but I wanted to finish my bowling season. The hospital called this morning to remind me to arrive at 5:00am. I am excited for my new journey and look forward to my new life. Now if you excuse me i need to go take my Milk of Magnesia.
