"My only negative experience has been with the support groups, which were initially quite good. The surgeons began requiring all pre-op patients to attend a support group, but did not limit them to the pre-op/early surgery groups. Our maint/relapse group has been taken over by pre-ops with questions and our issues are no longer being addressed. All maint patients who were regularly attending have now quit coming because the group is no longer relevant. This has been very problematic for me because I have experienced a weight gain and could have used the help."
