had my revision from Lap band to RNY on 10/11/11 .... and if you start from the 2wks pre-op diet before your surgery .. as of today , I have lost a total of 28 pounds
... my start weight was 257, and I am now 229.......... but for the past week I have been at this stall 
! and I think it is my past failure with the lap band that is creeping back into my head .. and wondering if this is it ???? will the weight stop coming off like it did with lap band ... I can say that I do love my RNY , and not having the feeling like I am chocking all the time ...... I have 
once from eating to fast since my revision ... but even then it was not as painful when you vomit with the lap band ... I think I am just so nervous that I don't want to do anything wrong .. just like when I ate to fast and vomit , because I don't want to stretch my pouch with vomiting or over eating .... I was thinking did I cause something wrong, did I damage something ..
I am keeping my meals to 3-4oz only ,and not going over that , I take my vitamins, and I have to admit I have not done good with my protein shakes the past week , but I do have protein with every meal ... I don't know if anyone else has faced this with still having the it may not be successful like lap band" thoughts "?? Also do you lose slower with a revision ? and for any people that have had a revision from lap band to RNY, in a year's time what has been your weight lost ...??? Because I really want my 100 this time

Hey , I made it !
I finally had enough energy to make my way to the computer. The surgery was a success... but wow did it have me going there for a minute ... I was suppose to have surgery on 10/11 @ 8am , then I got a call that they moved me to 2pm, so I arrived at 12:30pm , and waited, and waited , and waited ... and started to think ... do I really want to do this, was this a sign ... and My surgeon assistant came down to talk to me , and told me I know how you think , do look at this that way, it will all be fine ! Finally at 5pm they prep me for surgery ... I went in at 6pm , but did not get out till 9pm , the surgery was suppose to be for 2hrs , but when he got inside of me ... I had a looooooooooooot of scar tissue from the lap band that he had to remove ... He was able to get the the band out , remove the scare tissue , and revise me to gastric ... all laproscopically !!!Yes ! I was Sooooooooooo happy I did not have to be cut open . I had a horrible pain in my left shoulder when I was in recovery ... Finally I got some pain meds that made it feel a little better . I had to stay in recovery for some time , because there were no beds available .. I finally got to my room , and was in the hospital till 10/14... I was able to get up and walk on my own , but the only pain I had was in my neck, which the nurse said was from how they have you on the table in surgery ... it can put a strain on your neck... Lets just say I went through about 10 heat packs a day while I was in the hospital
.. I have been home now since Fri about 5pm , all is well ... Thank God ! I got a little scared because I had not had a bowel movement , but one finally came today ... Yesterday I felt great , today little sluggish , and some pain ... I came home with my drains , and wont have them removed till Wed , when I go to see the doctor again ... That is the only real thing that is so nerve recking , in measuring , and emptying them 3-4 times a day . I have to send a BIG thanks to my mom !!! She has been so great through all of this , and helping me recover , and changing my gauze , and taping me up ... and the biggest thing is that she has been seeing to my 7yr old son since I went into surgery .. Assuring he got to school , homework , and taking care of him !! I don't know what I would do with out her ! It makes me cry on how she has always been my biggest fan , and cheerleader in my life , and constantly goes the extra mile even when she is tired to assure that I am well 
. I am keeping all liquids, vitamins , protein , and my puree food down .. I just wish the leaking would stop , and there would be nothing to empty in the drains ! but if that is my only problem ... then there are no problems .. GOD has been good to me , and he has saw me through this surgery , and continues to heal me !! Please keep me in your prayers , as I will for all of you !! Thank you so much for being a part of my journey ... I missed you guys , and will update soon again !
