Heart Burn after surgery

I had my VSG on Monday and everything went great. While in there the surgeon respaied a Heital Hernia and another Hernia at the site of an 11 year old lap band. Recovery seems to be going good except I have developed a lot of heartburn. I have been taking Gas-X which seems to help temporary. Was wondering if anybody has any thoughts or secrets about this.
